May 17, 2007: A Sikh youth holds a sword in his hand during a protest demonstration in Srinagar summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir Thursday. Sikhs in Kashmir took out protest marches Thursday, demanding an apology from Dera Sacha Sauda chief Baba Gurmit Ram Rahim for Singh for committing “blasphemy” against the Sikh religion by appearing attired in the dress akin to the tenth guru, Gobind Singh.

May 17, 2007: Kashmiri Sikh protestors burn an effigy of the Dera Sacha Sauda chief Baba Gurmit Ram Rahim, in Srinagar Thursday. Around 200 Sikh youth took out a protest demonstration in Srinagar, shouting slogans against the Dera chief and demanding an immediate apology from him. The Dera head based in Punjab, triggered a controversy by purportedly appearing in the attire of 10th Sikh Guru Gobind Singh in an advertisement. / Altaf Zargar
